A passenger vessel sank off the coast of the municipality of Magsaysay Thursday, San Jose Mayor Jose Villarosa said.

MV Dominic was carrying an undetermined number of passengers and crew when it went down, Villarosa said in a text message.

The San Jose-bound vessel reportedly came from Semirara, Antique.

Villarosa said he sent a team and an ambulance to Magsaysay to assist in the rescue operation.
