A total of 845 fisherfolk and fish vendors in Bulalacao are set to receive payment under the Cash for Work Grant of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The grant will provide temporary employment for fishermen and fish vendors in six coastal barangays, the Bulalacao public information office said on Wednesday, May 10.

“Sila ang mga indibidwal na nagtrabaho kada araw sa loob ng isang buwan. Kapalit ng kanilang pag trabaho sila ay makakasahod mula sa DSWD,” it said.

.”Sa kasalukuyan ang unang linggong pinagtrabahohan ang mababayaran at ang mga susunod na linggo at mababayaran naman sa schedule na ibibigay ng DSWD sa susunod na linggo,” it added.

The primary objective of the Cash for Work Grant is to provide temporary livelihood for residents affected by the Mindoro oil spill.
