A 49-year-old woman wanted for illegal gambling was apprehended by the police in Barangay Buenavista, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday, May 24, at 10:57 a.m.

The suspect, identified as Imelda Daprosa Rosales, was taken into custody based on a warrant of arrest issued by the Municipal Trial Court in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

The warrant was issued for her alleged violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which pertains to illegal gambling activities. The recommended bail amount for the offense is P3,000.

Rosales is currently in police custody and will be subsequently transferred to the issuing court to undergo further legal proceedings and appropriate disposition.

The arrest was made during a law enforcement operation conducted by personnel from the Sablayan Municipal Police Station, together with the Occidental Mindoro PPO Provincial Intelligence Unit and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.
