Mamburao launches ‘Chikiting Ligtas’ immunization campaign

The town of Mamburao is currently conducting the Measles-Rubella Oral Polio Vaccine (MR-OPV) Supplemental Immunization Activity dubbed as “Chikiting Ligtas.”

The campaign, held at various vaccination posts across different Sitios of each Barangay in town, aimed to provide vaccines to eligible children and ensure their comprehensive protection against measles, rubella, and polio. Also included is a Mangyan community in Sitio Talapa, Barangay Talabaan.

In addition to the regular immunization efforts, a MOP-UP vaccination was organized to ensure that all eligible children in the municipality receive the necessary vaccines.

The local government of Mamburao strongly urges parents and guardians to prioritize their children’s health and safety by availing of the vaccination services.

By making sure their children receive the appropriate vaccines, they can provide an added layer of protection against vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, rubella, and polio.

Parents are encouraged to coordinate with the local midwives and Barangay Health Workers to schedule vaccination appointments in their respective areas.

The “Chikiting Ligtas” campaign, emphasizing the importance of immunization for children, highlights the town’s commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of its youngest residents.
