Previously known for his accomplishments as a decorated middle-distance runner in the SEA Games, Guarte has found a new passion and experienced resounding success in obstacle course racing.
Despite securing numerous silver medals in the 800m and 1500m events since the 2011 SEA Games in Jakarta, the talented athlete had long yearned for a gold medal in his track and field career.
