The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Mimaropa has deployed a Mobile Water Filtration Truck to Oriental Mindoro.
The Mobile Water Filtration Truck, manned by trained personnel, will provide safe and clean drinking water for the communities affected by the oil spill incident.
The deployment of the water filtration truck is a welcome development, as it will help in addressing the urgent need for safe and clean drinking water for the affected communities.
Based on a situational report released by the NDRRMC on Friday, 208 individuals in the municipality of Pola have suffered from various illnesses since the oil spill in Oriental Mindoro occurred.
The symptoms experienced by the patients included abdominal pain, chest pain, lower bowel movement (LBM), and vomiting, among others. All of them have already recovered.
However, it is still unclear whether these symptoms were directly related to the quality of the drinking water in the area.
