Twenty-six Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of the municipality of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro have been promoted.

PNP San Jose Chief of Police Chief Inspector Edwin Fiel Gutang said he and 25 of his men were promoted to the next rank.

Gutang acknowledged the support of the people of San Jose especially Mayor Jose T. Villarosa who he said has been very supportive to the police force.

“For four decades, the police force in San Jose has been neglected by the past administrations, it is only now that we have been recognized and fully supported by the administration,” Gutang said.

He also cited the construction of the modern municipal police building as part of the municipal government’s support for the police force.

“Today, policemen in San Jose are working in a very conducive environment and their morale is now high. We will continue to perform our duties to the best that we can so that people of San Jose can be very proud of us,” Gutang said.
