Tropical Storm Chedeng gathered speed as it inches closer to central Philippines Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services said.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, Chedeng was located at 795 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 120 kph.
It was moving west-northwest at 15 kph and forecast to be 540 kilometers east-northeast of Guiuan on Tuesday morning, 360 kilometers east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes on Wednesday morning, and 250 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora on Thursday morning.
No storm signals were raised.
Calapan City will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperature ranges from 23 to 32 degrees Celsius.
