MANILA, Philippines—Former Mansalay Mayor Sergio Fetalco Maliwanag passed away on Tuesday. He was 74.

He died of severe pneumonia as underlying cause and multiple organ failure that resulted in septic shock at St. Luke’s Medical Center at the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

He is survived by his wife Teresita Maulion Maliwanag, and children Mayor Jose Ildefonso Maliwanag, Flodeliz Keh, Catherine M. Tolentino, Ferdinand Maliwanag, Maureen M. Valiente, Dana Maliwanag, and Rio Maliwanag.

His body lies at the St. Peter Memorial Chapel along Quezon Avenue, in Quezon City.

A necrological mass was heard last Saturday at the Ambassador Chapel of St. Peter Memorial.

His body was brought Sunday to Mansalay and will be buried next Saturday, May 28.
