Tropical storm Bebeng has slightly weakened as it moved north-northwest at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour Monday evening, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
As of 10 p.m. Monday, Bebeng was located 85 kilometers northeast of Aparri, Cagayan. It had maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
It was forecast to be about 180 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes by Tuesday evening.
Storm signal number 2 was hoisted over Cagayan, Babuyan and Calayan.
Under storm signal number 1 were the provinces of Isabela, Quirino, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Kalinga Apayao and
Batanes.
Calapan will have cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms Tuesday with temperature ranging from 22 to 29.
