It was nominated in the category of disaster preparedness and response operations at the Rotary International Vocational Course Award, through its “Mamang Pulis at Aleng Pulis” program.
Mayor Jose T. Villarosa welcomed the nomination, saying his administration will continue to support PNP San Jose, headed by Police Senior Inspector Edwin Fiel Gutang, for it to become the best police station in the country.
The criteria for the nomination are: calamity preparedness program, first aid equipment, basic water rescue drills, earthquake drills and other activities during actual emergencies.
The award aims to make San Jose a crime-free municipality.
