MANILA—The Philippines emerged as one of the best sites in Southeast Asia for energy efficiency investments.
This, according to the British Embassy which launched the study during a forum with the Makati government with the participation of the La Liga Policy Institute (La Liga).
The Philippines is among the six countries in Southeast Asia that are considered by energy efficiency investors. The other countries are Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
According to the study, investors can tap the Philippines and make at least $790 million investment solely on energy efficiency.
Included in the study are information on business opportunities and sectors that will benefit from energy efficiency projects.
