Oriental Mindoro has allotted P750,000 for the federations of senior citizens in the province.
This came as the federation elected its new sets of officers on January 12.
Governor Alfonso V. Umali, Jr. handed to the leaders of the federation of senior citizens in Bansud its fund amounting to P50,000. The other senior citizens groups in other municipalities later received their funds after submitting all the needed documents.
The release of fund coincided with the election of officers of the provincial federation of senior citizens.
Mabini Comia was elected president, Hermogenes Tobias as first vice president, Henry Abayon Sr. as second vice president, Wilhelmina Lineses as secretary, Leticia Cudiamat as tresurer, Mariano Garbin and Gng. Lucila Viana as auditors, Generoso Anonuevo and Gng. Helen Contreras as business managers, Juan Mendoza and Plaridel Fonte as PRO, Magdaleno Pacia as sergeant-at-arms.
The newly-appointed members of the Board of Directors are Oscar Ricaflanca, Nicodemus Suarez, and Daniel Luna.
