Oriental Mindoro inmates join ‘Kakosa Got Talent’

They may be behind bars but that won’t stop them from putting on show what they got—their talent.

At the “Kakosa Got Talent” held at the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Jail (OMPJ), inmates showed their knack for singing and dancing.

Freezone dancers and a band also joined the contest.

Organized by the Seventh-Day Adventist and the provincial government, through the OMPJ, the event sought to impress upon the prisoners that despite their condition they could still freely express and show their talent.

The special program was also meant to instill upon the inmates the spirit of camaraderie, and love, and to make God at the center of their life.

The “Kakosa Got Talent” winners brought back to their cells various prizes provided by the organizers.

The judges were Information Assistant Rosalina Paghunasan and Data Comptroller Marilyn Delizo, both from the Provincial Information Office; and DWDP-FM Radio DJ Randy “Warr” Digma.

The “The Kakosa Got Talent” was organized by Calapan Seventh-Day Adventist Church Elders Dr. Rogelio Ilagan and Willy Madrigal.
