The Calapan City Public Employment Services Office (PESO) has launched a career information drive in six public high schools in the city.
The Career Information Guidance project seeks to equip 3rd and 4th year high school students with the needed information for their college course choices and career planning.
The information drive, headed by City PESO Officer Marvin L. Panahon, was conducted in Parang National High School and at the Canubing National High School on January 11.
It was held at JJ Bucayao Annex and Managpi National High School on January 13, and in the Community Vocational High School and Ciriaco Abes Memorial National High School on January 20.
There were about 100 students who attended the career information drive in each school.
Mimaropa Labor Employment Officer Loreta Catapang, and Ramezes Torres, Administrative Assistant of the Department of Labor and Employment Region IV-B, discussed Career Planning and Employment Opportunities.
Leiffrey Gargullo and Creziela Marquez of the Calapan City PESO talked about scholarship opportunities while some members of the Rotary Club of Calapan shared information and experience on how they achieved success in their chosen careers.
