Mayor Jose T. Villarosa on Thursday ordered a crackdown on videoke bars serving as front for prostitution in the municipality.

This after authorities rescued five girls from Sweet Angel videoke bar in Barangay Pag-Asa.

The girls, aged 13 to 16, are all from Caloocan City, said Municipal Social Welfare Officer Alice Cajayon. They were turned over to the Navotas City Social Welfare and Development Office.

Authorities padlocked Sweet Angel as its owner faces charges of violating Republic Act 7610, the law that provides special protection for children against child abuse, exploitation, and discrimination.
