The National Geographic cited Palawan’s limestone karst cliffs, corals, mangroves, white beach, and extensive fringing reefs as among the province’s attractions.
Coron Island, meanwhile, is considered as the world’s top scuba diving destination, with the magazine citing World War II vintage wreck diving. The area is also a good spot for snorkelling.
Culion, a former leper colony, is now an exciting travel destination. The waters surrounding the island host various species of marine plants and colorful corrals.
The National Geographic also cited the five-kilometer monkey trail that connects Sabang to Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, popularly known as the Underground River, which is among the top contenders for the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
