Interior and Local Government Secretary Jessie M. Robredo recently led the mass oath-taking of newly elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials of Occidental Mindoro.

The mass oath-taking coincided with the 60th anniversary celebration of the province of Occidental Mindoro on November 15.

Robredo said that the Aquino administration will continue to help Governor Josephine Ramirez-Sato in her pursuit in bringing progress and development to the farthest and remotest barangay of the province.

He said that the national government will work hand in hand with the local government in developing the province.

Sato thanked Robredo for personally administering the oath of office to the newly elected officials as he challenged them to take the righteous path (daang matuwid).

Mayor Abelardo Pangilinan of Paluan is the new president of the Mayor’s league in the province.
