PUERTO PRINCESA CITY—The 2011 leg of “Bike for Hope”, Senator Pia Cayetano’s advocacy bike ride for health and the environment, will be held for three days in this city this month.
The 11th Bike for Hope to be held from January 27 to 29 includes community seminars on breastfeeding and anti-violence against women and children.
The project also includes “Train the Trainors”, a two-day event that will teach physical education teachers interactive and creative training methods, plus basic courses on football and running for students. The trainors training is sponsored by the Younghusbands Football Academy and the “Pinay in Action” (PIA) Running Clinic.
The main event is a 70-kilometer bike ride from Puerto Princesa City to the municipality of Aborlan on January 29.
