The employees of the National Statistics Office (NSO) in Oriental Mindoro recently joined in the coastal cleanup in Brgy. Suqui and Brgy. Lazareto in Calapan City.

The activity seeks to promote environmental awareness among NSO employees and residents of coastal areas in the province.

It was the second time that the NSO employees participated in cleaning the coasts after they also joined in ridding the Suqui shoreline of wastes in August.

Barangay captains Hector Jurado and Nemia Sorela have been very supportive in the agency’s endeavor in promoting environmental awareness specifically in their coastal barangays.
