San Jose bans stray animals

San Jose has banned stray dogs in a bid to curb the growing number of dog bite incidents in the municipality.

In the anti-stray animal ordinance passed by the Sangguniang Pangbayan of San Jose, animals caught straying in public will be impounded to protect the public.

Registration of all animals will also be required to monitor those that are strayed, especially dogs.

The Committee on Health has unanimously agreed to implement ordinance.

For San Jose residents bitten by a rabid animal, the municipality is now offering free full anti-rabies vaccine.
