MANILA—Filipino artist Nassier Nash Anggahan won the Gold Prize for Digital Media Arts at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-Korea Multimedia Competition and Exhibition.
Anggahan’s winning entry “Water,” a two-minute, 40-second single channel video, features efforts by various groups to rehabilitate the Pasig River.
Anggahan is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
The event was held at the Gallery Jinsun in Seoul on December 17, the Philippine Embassy in South Korea reported.
Following the theme “ASEAN-Korean Cities: Urban Culture and Green Life”, participants freely displayed their artistic imagination on the relationship between urban development and the environment through new media.
The ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the multimedia competition to facilitate exchange and enhance mutual understanding among the youth of ASEAN member countries and South Korea.
The photographs and digital art will be on display at the gallery until December 30.
