President Benigno Aquino has appointed Governor Alfonso V. Umali Jr. as member of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).

Aquino issued the directive appointing Umali as representative of the local government sector. Umali is the president of Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP).

Created in 1992, the LEDAC is an advisory and consultative body that primarily helps integrate Malacanang’s legislative agenda with the national development plan.
