Oriental Mindoro gets fresh livelihood fund from DA

Oriental Mindoro has received P384,312 in fresh funding from the Department of Agriculture’s Livelihood Enhancement for Agricultural Development (LEAD).

Naujan received a check amounting to P185,200, P149,112 for Dulangan II, Baco and P50,000 for the 4-H Club of Naujan.

The money will be used for various livelihood projects like hog and poultry raising being supported by LEAD, a program under the National Agriculture and Fisheries Council.

The awarding of funds was made by Provincial Agriculturist Petronilo Dimailig, LEAD Provincial Coordinator Lilian Navarro and Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Council Chairman Mel Macalintal after a meeting of the municipal agriculture officers of Oriental Mindoro held at the Provincial Capitol in Calapan City.

The province has received a total of P3.2 million in support fund from LEAD.
