4 southern Mindoreños are Singing Idols champs

Four southern Oriental Mindoro amateur singers have emerged champions in the four-division Oriental Mindoro Singing Idols 2010.

Eduardo Lumaban, Sr. of Pinamalayan bagged the grand prize in the Senior Division while Carlo H. Rucio of Calapan City got the first runner-up title and second runner-up for Caridad A. Selda of Gloria.

In the Adult Division, Emaida Rose S. Salazar of Pinamalayan was the grand champion followed by Romulo S. Arellano, Jr. as first runner-up and Herbert M. Sosa of Bansud as second runner-up.

Bansud’s Kaycee R. Bernaldo won the grand prize in the Teen Division. Diane Prsicila O. Baculinao of Roxas bagged the first runner-up title and second runner-up for Marvin L. Macalalad of Calapan City.

In the Bulilit Division, Ma. Isabel P. Olarte of Socorro emerged as the grand champion with Jarra Leine C. Layante and Kim Harold H. Lacdan as first and second runner-up winners.

Each grand champion brought home a cash reward of P10,000. The first runner-up winners got P7,500 and P5,000 for the second runner ups. They also received a trophy and a plaque of participation.

Vice Governor Dolor and Provincial Administrator Angel M. Saulong also gave P1,500 in cash reward for each contestant of the Bulilit and Teen Divisions.
