Oriental Mindoro marked its 60th Foundation Day on November 15, which was declared by Malacañang as a provincial holiday.

Through Presidential Proclamation No. 61 dated November 10, 2010, President Benigno S. Aquino III declared November 15, Monday, as a special non-working day in the province.

Among the events highlights was the Mahalta Festival, where festivals of all the 15 towns comprising Oriental Mindoro are celebrated together.

This year’s Mahalta grand winner is Mansalay town.
