SAN PEDRO, Laguna—Laura Aceveda Maliwanag passed away at 11 a.m. on Thursday. She was 83.
Born on August 7, 1926, she was the fifth of seven children of former Baco, Oriental Mindoro mayor Rustico Maliwanag and Ana Aceveda (both deceased).
A pre-law graduate, Laura worked at the legal division of the Bureau of Internal Revenue head office until her retirement in 1991.
She is survived by her siblings and in-laws Jose, Dely, Juliana, Flordeliza, Asuncion, Alfredo and Josie; nieces and nephews; and grandchildren.
Laura’s body lies at the Mother of Good Counsel Parish Church at Chrysanthemum Village, San Pedro, Laguna.
Her remains will be cremated at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Eternal Gardens in Biñan, Laguna.
