Landslide win for Leachon, Perez in Calapan polls

It was a landslide win for reelectionist Calapan City Mayor Doy Leachon and his running-mate city administrator Antonio “Jojo” Perez in the May 10 local elections.

The city board of canvassers formally proclaimed second-termer Leachon and first-term vice mayor-elect Perez on May 12.

Leachon garnered 31,041 votes or a margin of about 10,000 votes over his lone rival, Roberto Paras.

Perez got 6,079 more votes against Gil Ramirez but no figures of actual number of votes were available as of this posting.

Also proclaimed were the winners in the Sangguniang Panlungsod race: Bong Brucal, Eric Apasan, Gilbert Repizo, Asel Agua, Edel Ilano, Jojie Malapitan, Girlie Ignacio, Roy Raquepo, Federico Cabailo and Joey Leynes.
