CPP vows to intensify attacks

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) hailed the “successful tactical offensive” Saturday that left 11 government troops dead and eight others wounded in Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro as it vowed intensified attacks against the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

In a statement released by its media office on the social networking site Facebook, the CPP said its armed wing, the New People’s Army (NPA), is “keen on seizing the biggest ever number of weapons from the AFP in the coming months as growing numbers of NPA recruits need to be armed.”

“The AFP is bound to suffer bigger losses this year. The Mindoro tactical offensive will be surpassed several times over by more NPA tactical offensives in various provinces,” the statement said.

At the same time, the communists said the ambush launched against the 23rd Division Reconnaissance Company of the Philippine Army was a “punishment for the hideous crimes and human rights abuses” the military committed against 43 health workers arrested in Morong, Rizal who continue to be detained on charges they are rebels.

The number of soldiers killed in the attack was the biggest loss suffered so far by government forces this year.

The CPP said that since the start of the year, at least 40 AFP officers and soldiers have been killed and 43 wounded in various rebel attacks nationwide.

The government troops were on combat operations in Brgy. Panaytayan, Mansalay at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday when they stumbled upon an NPA camp with an unknown number of rebels.

Colonel Carlos Quita, Oriental Mindoro provincial military commander, on Saturday told The Mindoro Post that the Army unit was on patrol to track the activities of NPA fighters extorting money from candidates who want to woo voters in rebel-infested areas.

Armed Forces commanders involved in the operation are now under investigation for possible lapses.

Lt. General Roland Detabali, chief of the Southern Luzon Command (Solcom) said the junior officer who led his men into the deadly ambush could have made a “tactical blunder.”

For one, he said the reconnaissance work should not have been done at daybreak.

The CPP said the military is bound to “commit more and more military fumbles and political foulups in their desperation to suppress the Filipino people’s revolutionary resistance…”

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has ordered the military to rid the country of insurgents before she steps down in June.

The guerrillas have been waging a Maoist insurgency for four decades to establish a socialist state in the country.

The Norway-brokered peace talks between the government and the rebels collapsed in 2004 after the insurgents accused Manila of not doing enough to have them removed from the US and EU terrorist blacklist.

  1. ANAD decries Maoist terrorist treachery

THE ALLIANCE FOR NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY (ANAD) Partylist strongly condemn the murder of 11 army soldiers during an ambush in Barangay Panaytayan, Mansalay town, Oriental Mindoro last weekend even as it deplores the treachery and brazen display of savagery and impunity by the Maoist terrorist NPA.

“Freedom and peace loving Filipinos strongly decries this inhuman character vividly shown by the violent Maoist terrorist NPA as it incessantly wage a campaign of fear, intimidation, and harassment against peace loving Filipinos, especially in the countryside,” said ANAD Partylist Rep. Jun Alcover.

Rep. Alcover slammed the Maoist terrorist organization for cheating and spreading lies, without fear and remorse, to extort money the Filipino people and businesses who have suffered so much during the 41 years of Maoist terrorism.

“What happened in Oriental Mindoro is a reaffirmation of the Maoist terrorist’s character leading to a big celebration like the forthcoming 41st founding anniversary of the terrorist New Peoples Army on March 29,” said Rep. Alcover.

A former political and commanding officer of the CPP-NPA in Eastern Visayas, Rep. Alcover said that since its inception in l969, “It has been a Maoist terrorist tradition to celebrate a big event by way of sacrificing the lives of innocent Filipinos, either civilians or otherwise, to sow fear and cower our people despite its weakening and growing discontent and rift within their organization.”

The series of extortion activities, utter disregard for human lives and the rule of law have been the character and trademark of the Maoist terrorism. “The several engagements by government security forces against the Maoist terrorist only shows how resolute government is in preserving our freedoms and protecting our people against the tyranny openly inflicted on them by the NPAs,” said Rep. Alcover.

“These incidents now have resulted to a firm resolve and determination, by freedom loving Filipinos, to confront and oppose the violent and inhuman Maoist communist terrorism and ideology. The beacon of light for the preservation of our freedom have been lighted by the blood that has been shed and by those who offered the supreme sacrifice for the sake of our motherland,” Alcover said.

“This shall continue to shine until the demagogues and soothsayers of doom are cleansed from the face of this earth,” he added.

    1. Jun Alcover is a person representing the corrupted government of my country where 5% of the families control 90% of our country’s riches. He benefits from this system and will surely fight whoever will try to change this ridiculous set-up.

He was never a real revolutionary and he knows he exists to defend the old and rotten system in the Philippines where majority of our people do not have the jobs that will pay them to survive everyday and where 80% of the children will grow only to be lowly paid workers someday. We have intelligent people trained and educated in some of our world-class universities but where do they end-up most? Applying for work in good-paying companies that represent only 5% of the businesses in Philippines.

He knows that our country will never be a place that can’t reach even the levels that Malaysia has achieved and still he convinces our people that our country is a great country. Yeah, tell that to the marines!

What do you do Jun Alcover to change our country? Fight for the filthy rich and hope they will give money enough for people like to enjoy the riches at least for a day? Stop your foolishness, you very well understand that our country will be a great place to live if you don’t change the corrupt government that only serves the rich guys and make the middle and lower class continue working for them. You included.

We don’t dream of the riches of Bill Gates or Warren Buffet but at least give the majority of our people livelihood where they can afford decent housing, enough food, healthcare, and proper education. Billions of pesos are just being pocketed by corrupt government officials and yet you keep your mouth shut? Why? Because you are one of them, plain and simple.

The revolution will catch on you, unless you fly to your dream country before day the NPA marches in Malacanang. Good luck.
