Philippine pollster Social Weather Stations (SWS) has been recognized by Gallup World Poll for its “Outstanding Commitment to Methodological Rigor” in Asia.
The recognition certifies that “SWS has met the highest standards in data collection methodology across all countries surveyed in the Asia Region of the World Poll,” SWS said.
The recognition by the Gallup World Poll was given during a “2010 World Poll Training-seminar” in Bangkok.
The award was presented by Gallup World Poll Regional Research Director Rajesh Srinivasan and Senior Consultant Nicole Naurath.
Ramon Calleja, SWS survey specialist and Philippine project manager for the Gallup World Poll, received the award for SWS. He was assisted by Josie Tayactac, SWS Supervising Anchor and Field Auditor.
This is the second award SWS has received from the Gallup World Poll after it was given the recognition for “Outstanding Service and Data Quality” for data collected in Asia in February 2009.
SWS describes itself as the Philippine provider of fieldwork and data processing services for the Gallup World Poll for the past four years.
It does its own fieldwork and data-processing, and has been a full-service survey research institute since June 2004.
