The number of voters in Occidental Mindoro rose by five percent from 215,146 in May last year to 226,971 last month, data from the Commission on Elections showed.
San Jose, the most populous town in the province, has a total of 60,552 registered voters as of January 15.
Sablayan–the largest municipality in Occidental Mindoro in terms of land area–came far second, with 35,367 total registered voters.
The province’s capital, Mamburao, ranks third at 20,344.
Looc has the lowest number of voters at 7,121.
Following are the total number of registered voters for the rest of Occidental Mindoro:

- Calintaan: 12,085
- Lubang: 15,126
- Magsaysay: 16,788
- Paluan: 8,899
- Rizal: 17,426
- Sta. Cruz: 18,817
There are a total of 1,469 established precincts in the province, 339 clustered/group precincts and 184 voting centers.
