50 new MIMAROPA cops take oath

Fifty newly appointed police officers in the MIMAROPA region took their oath at Camp Efigenio C. Navarro in Calapan City on Monday.

Police regional director Chief Supt. Paul Pueblos Mascariñas officiated the oath-taking of 45 males and five females as Police Officer 1.

In his message, Mascariñas welcomed the new members of the region’s police force, directing them to become “productive and valuable law enforcers.”

“Kayo ay parang mga buto na itinanim ngayon. Kayo ay dapat paarawan, diligin, bungkalin at abonohan,” Mascariñas said.

“Kaya sa pamamagitan ng tamang turo, tamang pasgsasanay at tamang pagsubaybay, sa pagpala ng ating panginoon, kayo ay magiging produktibo at kapaki-pakinabang na mga alagad ng batas,” he said.

After taking their oath, the new Police Officers were sent to Camp Guillermo Nakar in Lucena City to take the Public Safety Field Training Program, a year-long training program comprised of Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (six months) and On-the-Job Training (six months).

The MIMAROPA region is composed of the provinces of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.
