CALAPAN CITY—Elementary schools from nine towns in Oriental Mindoro have received P589,550 worth of books and other educational materials from the provincial government.

During simple rites at the provincial capitol on January 6, Governor Arnan Panaligan handed over the books and other reference materials to the principals and representatives of various schools from Baco, San Teodoro, Naujan, Victoria, Pola, Gloria, Roxas, Mansalay and Bulalacao.

Funded by the Provincial School Board, the educational materials include 10 volumes of Children’s Reference Library, Children’s First Encyclopedia, nine volumes of Factopedia, Thesaurus and Atlas, English Dictionary, and English-Filipino Dictionary.
