Nice story but I don’t quite agree of the presence of aswang victimizing pregnant women in the beautiful island paradise of Mapun! Yes, I’d been there once in the company of Dr. Sukarno Asri, as we had also a Medical Mission there at Mapun Islands, on board the floating hospital. If I can remember right, that was last 1995, when I happen to be there together with my DOCTOR TO THE BARRIO doctor-colleagues, about 6 of us medical doctors assigned at TAWI-TAWI province then. Yes, we heard stories from the locals back then during nighttime while having our Fellowship Night and others singing gleefully thru VIDEOKE! They even toured me to their wide and rounded lake with abundant fresh water but nobody dared to use it then! In a nutshell, Cagayan de Tawi-Tawi or Cagayan de Sulu or Mapun Islands is to me an enchanting islands with warm, hospitable,beautiful, peaceful loving citizens.The island is equipped with an airport, last home of the PAF(Phil. Air Force), even has a Catholic School far from mainland Bongao but proximal to Palawan as I understand most of the graduate High School students study at Palawan colleges and university. Mapun is such a beautiful and peaceful untapped island Paradise and home to the peaceful and friendly JAMA MAPUNS! How I wish to be there someday, once again and join Dr.Sukarno U. Asri’s Medical Missions!

wow this is a good news for the whole mindoro community and nearby areas. Sana matuloy na ito para naman mapadali ang transportation from mindoro to manila. Isa pa magiging tourism highlight din ito considering na pino promote natin ang oriental mindoro na maging eco tourism hub ng bansa and the best is marami ng papasok na mga investor sa mindoro. go mindoro sana ay magawa agad yan.
